One of Vietnam’s most prestigious financial education institutions, the Academy of Finance, is where Dr. Do Thi Tho earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She advanced academically even farther in 2019 when she graduated with a Doctor of Business Administration from the Philippines.

She currently serves as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the University of Economics – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), where she manages the faculty, teaches, and conducts extensive research in the fields of banking, financial markets, fiscal policy, and public finance.
Among other respected journals, Dr. Do Thi Tho is the author and co-author of over 20 scientific studies that have been published in both domestic and international journals, including The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business, Social Science & Economic Research, International Journal of Innovative Research and Scientific Studies, and Problems and Perspectives in Management.

A highly useful tool for financial education, she is also the author of a monograph on the investment behavior of individual investors in the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
Having supervised multiple master’s and doctorate students on subjects pertaining to public accounting organizations, public financial management, green bonds, bank credit, and behavioral finance, Dr. Do Thi Tho is not only a committed researcher but also an educator.
Dr. Do Thi Tho is an active participant in scientific and technological endeavors in addition to teaching and research. She contributes significantly to knowledge transmission and policy advice as a member of scientific councils, editorial boards of specialist publications both domestically and abroad, and a frequent speaker at international scientific conferences.
